Hello again and welcome to another great issue of Black Petals.

This has been quite an experience, starting a new website, with

a new provider, and to say the learning curve has been steep

would be an understatement. I am now building Black Petals at

two different locations on the net. You will find us here on WIX

and also at the old domain of www.blackpetals.net, which runs

on Lycos Tripod, whenever they choose to actually be up and

running. Why do this in two places and double my own

workload? Well, because for many years, BP has maintained an

archive section, and we wanted to keep that going and the soft-

ware on the two different providers is not at all compatible. So, unless I come up with a better idea, I'll do the "labor of love" in two places, and just keep smiling.

This issue is unique in a couple of ways. We have "doubled up" several writers, and we have done this before, but this time we've done it four times. Authors Hillary Lyon, Zvi A. Sesling, and Roy Dorman each have two stories up in this issue, and Paul Radcliffe has three! For the second time, we are offering micro fiction, which seemed to go over well last issue, so we did it again. We do look at our hit counters and at WIX, they have a very comprehensive system that allows us to look at how many visits we get and where they come from by countries, which is kinda cool and a new deal for us. We also can see the time of day and duration of visits, presented in graphical format. WIX is a provider which is geared more toward business, hence the extra tools.

We were a bit shorter on poetry this issue, but we had extra stories, so it's still a nice, big issue. We hope you enjoy the mag as much as we enjoy working with all the great writers and artists who make it possible. Thanks for visiting Black Petals!
